Hello merhaba 👋🏼 My name is Jane, a Filipino living in Turkey for a couple of years now. I work as a remote SEO specialist on weekdays while also a 24/7 mom, wife, and a friend to you all.

I’m passionate about cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with my family. I also love reading and writing travel itineraries, as well as personal reviews of the places I’ve been—though, they’re not exactly published anywhere yet!

Now, you might be wondering…Why start a blog in 2025 instead of vlogging?

First of all, camera shy po ako mga ante 🙈

Pero bitaw, I created this blog because my husband and I were once overwhelmed by the lack of updated, reliable resources when we were planning my move to Turkey. We knocked on every Facebook group, most of the time only to get answers like “pm for details sis“.

Sound familiar, diba?

And when I reached here, I felt that sense of mixed emotions where I am happy to be with my partner but at the same time I also am longing for Philippines, which is the place that I am most familiar with and my first home ~ the jeepney routes leading to my favorite spots, a place where I can talk in my first language, and also a place where my favorite yumburger and Inasal meal is just a grab away.

These were the little things I wish I had known to expect when moving, but I couldn’t find much online about them. Kung kabalo palang ko (kung alam ko lang sana), nagimpake nakog toneladang yumburger, palabok, siomai, sardinas, mga Pinoy style instant mix, snacks, toyo ug banana ketchup like whole sari-sari store level ganern. 😂

That’s why I want to be here for you—to share everything what I know from experience, and hopefully make this big transition a little easier. We’re in this together, and I’m here to help you navigate the journey as much as I can.
